Specialist Software Engineer, QA Tools Support

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Specialist Software Engineer within our global QA Tools Support team. As a Specialist Software Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance to our clients using QA Tools products, such as Squish, Coco and Axivion. You will play a key role in ensuring the success of our customers by delivering timely and effective support solutions.

You will:

• Provide optimal solutions for customers.
• Work closely with customers and help them to achieve their goals.
• Process support requests from prospects and customers who are developers using our QA tools
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to QA tools
• Provide technical support via email and, in some cases, virtual meetings.
• Work with various other departments to help bring visibility to the customers needs

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• Strong programming experience with C++ and Python.
• Highly organized and solutions-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal stakeholders and customers
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a curiosity for technical problems and motivation to help customers
• Knowledge of coding guidelines such as MISRA, CERT and AUTOSAR
• Good understanding of the current C++ standard
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other version control systems
• Experience with shell scripts (Bash or others) and Unix command line.
• Experience with batch scripts (".bat" files) and Windows command line.

Beneficial skills:

• Additional technical qualifications will be an advantage
• Javascript and C experience
• Experience with automated GUI testing (via Squish, QTP, QC, AutoHotkey, or others)
