About the Job

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Oulu, Finland.

At Qt, you will work with our software teams across different R&D sites located in Oulu, Berlin, and Oslo. You will also join a vibrant community of Qt contributors and users who constantly exchange new ideas, insights, and contributions. We hope that you are passionate about creating solutions that make coding fun and productive for application developers, on multiple platforms, from embedded to desktop and mobile. In your daily work, you will be surrounded by a team of experts, and you will have the opportunity to broaden and deepen your knowledge about all aspects of software development.

You could be working on one or more of the following topics:

• Embedded Linux, Boot to Qt
• Qt for webOS
• Qt for Raspberry Pi OS
• Embedded SW development, demo as product
• SW performance optimization

About You

• Be curious and creative
• Have a long experience with C++ and object-oriented programming and Linux
• Experience with SW development for embedded HW
• Enjoy problem-solving
• Are familiar with Git version control, code review, and integration tools
• Focus on quality; keywords are continuous integration, testing, and code reviews
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and face-to-face

Beneficial skills

• Familiarity with Qt Framework e.g. Qt/C++, QML, Qt modules, Qt Creator and Qt Design Studio
• Experience with embedded Linux, Yocto or U-Boot
• Familiar with software design and architecture
• Experience with open-source communities and development
• Experience with SW optimization (CPU cycles, memory usage)
• Experience with AI and ML
