Director, EMEA Commercial Sales

Location: Berlin

Reporting directly to: VP Sales EMEA

We are looking for a Director, EMEA Commercial Sales at our office in Berlin. The Sales Director will be responsible for managing the EMEA commercial sales team for our Qt Portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the EMEA commercial sales team for DACH, MEAT and Eastern Europe
  • Build relationships with C-Level leaders and managers
  • Plan and manage at both the strategic, operational and tactical customer-facing levels
  • Actively build & maintain valuable senior relations with customers & prospects
  • Identifying and implementing the main priorities and objectives (KPIs) to develop new clients and set annual sales targets for the sales team and managing delivery of those targets through accurate forecasting and disciplined use of the CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Preparing professional action plans, performance and sales reports and business plans to communicate business endeavours to company leadership
  • Approving and creating a commercial strategy and business plan, involving price strategies and proposals, negotiation, and customer contract commitments
  • Understanding competitor positions, align with industry leads, customer success organization, and regional sales leadership
  • Interact efficiently with the product management and marketing organizations to help guide vertical product and professional service direction and production of sales plays

Experience:

  • Good technical understanding, a Bachelor degree or equal qualification in a business and technical field preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience selling development tools, embedded technology or selling in a similar complex IT environment
  • Experience in managing of a team of more than 8 sales executives
  • Good business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Progressive sales experience with complex solutions, such as software sales, eager to figure out new technologies
  • Proven track record of successful personal sales pipeline management and results with a track record of building satisfied loyal and referenceable customers
  • Target driven and results focused personality with a goal to deliver overachievement against clear objectives and business development targets
  • Consultative 'questioning' and Active Listening approach
  • Experienced in vertical market solution sales
  • Knowledge and experience in managing and coaching sales teams to both retain/grow existing customers and acquire new business
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and collaboration skills along with strong planning ability. 
  • Fluent German and English speaking and writing skills are mandatory– additional language is a plus
  • Familiarity with Software Development tools and Software Development Life Cycle is a plus
