At Qt Group, we believe in the power of community and the value it brings to our ecosystem. We are excited to announce a new initiative to foster stronger connections and knowledge sharing within the global Qt community. As the dedicated Community Relations Manager, I am thrilled to introduce our sponsorship program for local events, and meetups focused on discussing Qt.

What Are Community Meetups?

Community meetups are an incredible platform for developers, enthusiasts, and experts to come together, exchange ideas, and explore the vast possibilities of Qt. These gatherings not only foster a sense of camaraderie but also provide opportunities for learning, networking, and collaboration.

Sponsorship: Igniting Community-led Events

To support and empower our vibrant Qt community, we have allocated resources to provide financial sponsorships for local Qt meetups worldwide. We want to ensure that passionate individuals have the means to organize successful events and share their Qt expertise with others.

I'm in! How can I apply?

The application process is straightforward. If you are organizing a Qt-focused meetup or event and would like to be considered for sponsorship, please get in touch with me directly at pedro.bessa@qt.io.
In your email, kindly provide all the relevant details about your event, including:

• Event name, location, and date
  Tell us where and when your meetup will take place.
• Event description
  Give us a brief overview of the scope of the event, its topics, and its target audience.
• Agenda
  Share the schedule and any expected activities for the event.
• Expected number of attendees
  Let us know how many participants you anticipate.
• Budget breakdown
  Provide an estimated budget and how the sponsorship funds will be utilized.
  For instance: venue booking, food & drinks, and anything else that might apply.
• Contact information
  Include your contact details so we can contact you with any further questions.
  We suggest you have one contact point per Meetup/local community.

By applying for a meetup sponsorship, you will have the opportunity to enhance the experience for attendees and gain recognition as a valuable contributor to the Qt community. We want to support events of all sizes, from local meetups to larger conferences, and encourage innovative and engaging formats.

Alongside the financial aspect of our sponsorship, we will use our communications channel to advertise your event and your contribution to the Qt Ecosystem.
