Qt Gradle Plugin 1.2 Released!

Qt Gradle Plugin 1.2 (QtGP) is here! If you missed the 1.1 release, I recommend reading the QtGP 1.1 blog post to catch up. Version 1.2 was mostly for our internal needs, but perhaps some of you find it useful as well?

Updates

Configure the NDK location

The Qt Gradle Plugin can be used to build apps with and without Qt Tools for Android Studio from the terminal or command line. You can use this command-line option to build your Qt Quick for Android applications in CI (Continuous Integration). In your CI setup, the Android NDK (Native Development Kit) might be placed somewhere else than under the Android SDK installations:/SDK/ndk/. Starting with version 1.2, these custom NDK locations are possible.

macOS x86_64 support

We can now safely say that the Qt Gradle Plugin also works on macOS x86 64 architecture-based host computers. Yeah, the world, including macOS, is moving towards ARM, but perhaps some of you find this useful. That's all folks for now until QtGP 1.3 release. For more detailed information on using the Qt Gradle plugin, refer to our official documentation.

What next?

Do you have any features you would like to see added to the plugin? Comment below! You can track work progress and provide feedback at bugreports.qt.io.
