Qt 6.6 release plan
The target is to release Qt 6.6.3 during March 2024 and it will be the last release from Qt 6.6 series. Please see details from the Qt 6.6 releasing pages.
I noticed that Qt Quick Compiler is no longer listed as "TP" in the installer. Is it officially out of TP?
The Qt Quick Compiler Extensions that you can install separately are no longer in tech preview. The QML Type Compiler that comes with Qt itself still is.
So are Qt Quick Compiler Extensions the "Commercial only" part of it, then? https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtqml-qtquick-compiler-tech.html#summary would then indicate that's basically the QML Script compiler, is that right?
Correct. QML Script Compiler and qmlcachegen are not in tech preview. QML Type Compiler is in tech preview.
Thanks for clarifying that!
Thank you! It is working as expected.
