The wait is finally over! We're thrilled to announce and celebrate our outstanding community members who truly deserve the spotlight.
It’s inspiring to see how engaged our community is, with an incredible 30 nominations submitted. We’ve carefully reviewed each one to select our Champions across various categories. Of course, a big thank you goes out to our Lifetime Champions, who continue to be pillars of support, even helping us as we sorted through the results. Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed!
Our 2024 Qt Champions
Without further ado, it's time to meet our Qt Champions and their contributions to the Qt Community!
Developer
Ahmad Samir: has contributed with many patches, one of our top contributors of 2024.
Petr Mironychev: created the QodeAssist [https://github.com/Palm1r/QodeAssist] - AI-powered coding assistant plugin for Qt Creator.
Community Builder
Ekkehard Gentz & Pierre-Yves Siret (aka Grecko): they have both been supporting users on many different platforms, including the Qt Forum and Discord channels.
Content Creator
Alexandra Betouni: has created Qt educational material and courses.
Daniel Gakwaya: has also created and develop many courses on Qt development.
Rookie
Dheerendra Purohit: had his first patch merged in 2024 and has been submitting many patches ever since.
Ambassador
Sandro: for being a pillar to the Qt Community in Brazil.
Mike Trahearn: for his outspoken advocacy of Qt and support to many users worldwide.
Also... it's Mike's third nomination in a row, which means Mike Trahearn is now a Lifetime Champion!
Qt Champions and Rewards
All of the people above were already contacted, so prizes are coming soon!
Qt Champions are rewarded with a one-year license and some Qt goodies.
Lifetime Champions
Those nominated and rewarded three times in a row achieve the Lifetime Champions status.
This means you become part of the group that deliberates on the next Qt Champions round!
