Analyse custom data with the new Qt Insight 1.10

We're happy to announce the new Qt Insight 1.10 release!

Qt Insight introduces custom filter that allows tailored analysis of your application usage with numerous improvements and bug fixes to enhance your insight.

What is Custom Filter?

Qt Insight 1.10 introduces Custom Filters, allowing you to analyze custom data collected from your applications.

Custom Filters empower you to tailor data analysis by criteria that Qt Insight doesn’t track by default. These filters leverage Custom Dimensions, which are developer-defined attributes to collect and analyze data, that Qt Insight does not track out-of-the box. This allows you to gain deeper insights into user behavior and preferences, ultimately enabling more personalized and effective decision-making.

Getting started with custom filters

Qt Insight Tracker:

  1. Add custom dimension to the application

  2. Send data using the custom dimension

See Qt Insight Tracker documentation

insight.qt.io service:

  1. Create a custom filter from custom dimension

  2. Custom filter starts collecting data associated with the dimension

See Qt Insight Service documentation

You can use Custom Filters anywhere by selecting the filter from the top bar
